After the fun, yet often chaotic buzz of the festive celebrations and the decadent colours and decorations that fill our homes for the last 4 weeks of the year. I equally look forward to the space clearing and decluttering that January brings. Now is the time to think / plan what you want to achieve for 2024, that will make your home somewhere you can relax and be energised. After 18 years in interior design, one of the most fulfilling parts of my job, is helping people tackle a room that they have been putting off all year/s and transforming it into a calm, cosy space, away from the busyness that life brings and seeing that smile on their face!
A customer in the shop, asked me today about trends for 2024…. More recently I have been stepping away from the greys and using warmer, natural beige tones, linens and chalky whites in textures that are soothing and comfortable – as captured beautifully here. Inspired by the Nordic philosophy as a lifestyle and equally a living space: Simplifying life; Connecting with nature and being influenced by traditional workmanship and crafts, in our case more locally, from craftsmen and women, in and around the New Forest. Pop in and have a chat with me at the shop in Burley – open every day apart from Sundays, Mondays and Bank holidays.
