Hi I’m Sally, founder and creator of Rock Paper Scissors Interiors – I write every month for the magazine; this month I thought I would share a bit about me and where my long-term passion for design stems from… Having completed my degree in Textile Design, over 15 years ago, I went on to work for some prestigious interiors brands, based out of Chelsea Harbour. Leaving a full-time job, almost a year ago, I took a leap of faith, to follow my long-term desire to set up my own interior design business; I opened my little shop nestled in the village of Burley, in the New Forest. The shop has become a hive of creativity, with downstairs full of beautiful, hand-picked homewares, many of which have been hand crafted by local trades people and artists. My design studio situated upstairs is by appointment only, so that I can guide you through the collections of fabrics, wallpapers, paints and tiles from an eclectic mix of brands and some smaller independent makers, who produce equally as stunning designs. The service extends beyond the shop to a local work room, where the magic happens, the fabric gets transformed into curtains, Roman blinds and cushions, all beautifully hand finished and then professionally installed and dressed, into your home.
